What should be paid attention to when installing mechanical seals? Machinery Seal

What should be paid attention to when installing mechanical seals?

Points to note when installing the mechanical seal:

1. Pay great attention to and avoid installation deviations during installation

1) The gland should be tightened after the coupling is aligned, and the bolts should be supported evenly to prevent the end face of the gland from deflecting. Check each point with a feeler gauge, and the deviation should not be greater than 0.05mm.

2) Check the joint clearance (ie concentricity) between the gland and the outer diameter of the shaft or bushing. The surrounding area should be even. Use a feeler gauge to check that the tolerance of each point is not greater than 0.01mm.

b. The amount of spring compression should be carried out according to the regulations. It is not allowed to be too large or too small, and the deviation is required to be 2.00mm. Excessively increasing the specific pressure of the end face and accelerating the wear of the end face. If it is too small, the specific pressure will not be enough and the sealing effect will not be achieved.

c. After the moving ring is installed, it should spring back automatically after pressing the moving ring to the spring.

Position requirements for mechanical seal installation: For the stable operation, long life and low leakage performance of the mechanical seal, it is very important to install it accurately on the machine.
