In order to give full play to its use efficiency, the mechanical seal has strict operating requirements and precautions during installation, which can effectively achieve the purpose of improving the use of equipment and avoiding equipment failure.

1. During installation, a layer of clean mechanical oil should be applied to the surface in contact with the seal so that it can be installed smoothly;

2. The sealing chamber part of the equipment should be kept clean during installation, and the sealing parts should be cleaned to keep the sealing end face intact and prevent impurities and dust from being brought into the sealing part;

3. It is strictly forbidden to knock and bump during the installation process, so as not to damage the mechanical seal and cause the seal to fail;

4. The vibration of the shaft of the equipment should be less than or equal to 0.04 mm, and the amount of axial movement is not allowed to exceed 0.1 mm;

5. When installing the static ring gland, tighten the screws to be evenly stressed to ensure that the end face of the static ring is perpendicular to the shaft;

6. After installation, push the moving ring by hand, so that the moving ring can move flexibly on the shaft and has a certain elasticity;

7. After installation, turn the shaft by hand, and the shaft should have no light or heavy feeling;

8. The equipment must be filled with medium before operation to prevent the seal from being ineffective due to dry friction;

9. For easy-to-crystallize and granular media, when the temperature of the media is greater than 80°C, corresponding flushing, filtering and cooling measures should be taken. Please refer to the relevant standards for mechanical seals for various auxiliary devices.
