What are the precautions for seals

Seals are materials or parts that prevent fluid or solid particles from leaking from adjacent joint surfaces and prevent external impurities such as dust and moisture from invading parts of machinery and equipment. But when using it, in order to better ensure its efficiency, we need to understand its precautions in detail.

1. Before designing the groove, please read the product descriptions of each series by self-study, and clearly distinguish whether the product uses an integral groove or a split groove; during the installation process, pay attention to avoid sharp edges, and the sealing products for holes must be inserted into the integral groove with the help of Install tools; the designer must consider the dimensional accuracy of the groove, surface roughness, extrusion gap and other parameters. 2. Before installing the sealing product, ensure that there are no impurities and cracks in the sealing groove, and apply operating oil on the sealing groove and the surface of the sealing product respectively; gradually install the sealing product in order; avoid sharp edges during the installation process, and straighten the sealing equipment. Avoid twisting and skewing; if it is a split tank, tighten the gland last.
