Vacuum pump mechanical seal

Vacuum pump (English Vacuum pump) refers to a device or equipment that uses mechanical, physical, chemical or physical-chemical methods to extract air from the pumped container to obtain a vacuum. The vacuum pump is a kind of rotary variable volume vacuum pump. It can only be used with the backing pump. It has a large pumping speed in a wide pressure range. It is not sensitive to dust and water vapor in the pumped gas. It is widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry , food, electronic coating and other industries. According to the working principle of vacuum pump, vacuum pump can be basically divided into two types, namely gas capture pump and gas transmission pump. Widely used in plastic machinery, pesticide chemical industry, dye chemical industry, brick and tile machinery, low temperature equipment, papermaking machinery, pharmaceutical chemical industry, food machinery, industrial electric furnace, electronic industry, vacuum equipment, fertilizer, metallurgy, petroleum, mining, foundation treatment and other fields. It is mainly used to extract air and other gases that are corrosive, insoluble in water, and allowed to contain a small amount of solid particles. It is widely used in vacuum evaporation, concentration, impregnation, drying and other processes in food, textile, pharmaceutical, chemical and other industries. It has the characteristics of high vacuum degree, simple structure, convenient use, reliable operation and convenient maintenance.

Requirements for vacuum pump mechanical seal:

(1) The radial runout tolerance of the shaft (or shaft sleeve) where the mechanical seal is installed shall not exceed 0.04-0.06mm

(2) The axial movement of the rotor does not exceed 0.3mm

(3) The runout tolerance of the positioning end of the sealing cavity combined with the sealing end cover facing the surface of the shaft (or shaft sleeve) does not exceed 0.04~0.06mm

(4) Confirm whether the installed seal is consistent with the required model

(5) Before installation, carefully check with the general assembly drawing to see if the number of parts is complete.

(6) The mechanical seal driven by the parallel spring has left and right-handed springs, which must be selected according to the rotation direction of the rotating shaft.
