There are five main leakage points of mechanical seals for pumps

Pump mechanical seal refers to the device installed and operated in the pump equipment to play a dynamic sealing role. During the use process, it is necessary to understand the leakage point of the equipment, so as to avoid equipment damage and increase leakage due to improper use.

(l) The seal between the shaft sleeve and the shaft;

(2) The seal between the moving ring and the shaft sleeve;

(3) Seal between dynamic and static rings;

(4) Sealing between the static ring and the static ring seat;

(5) The seal between the sealing end cover and the pump body.

Generally speaking, it is easier to find and solve the leakage between the overhanging shaft of the pump mechanical seal shaft sleeve, the sealing end cover and the pump body, but careful observation is required, especially when the working medium is liquefied gas or high pressure, toxic and harmful gas is relatively difficult. The rest of the leakage is difficult to distinguish and judge intuitively. Only on the basis of long-term management and maintenance practice, the leakage symptoms can be observed, analyzed, and judged before the correct conclusion can be drawn.
