Under the specified application conditions, if the working range of the sealing arrangement A1, A2 and A3 is met, the sealing selection method recommended by API682 provides a sealing type, arrangement, flushing plan and corresponding buffer/blocking fluid. This selection method is suitable for sealing fluids: ① water; ② acidic water; ③ caustic alkali; ④ amines; ⑤ some acids; ⑥ most hydrocarbons (vapor pressure less than 0.1MPa at the transportation temperature).
