1. Increase the cross section of sealing parts

However, it should be noted that as the width b of the sealing surface increases, thermal deformation and wear also increase, and the thickness of the gland should also be increased to prevent deformation and withstand pressure. Use heavy duty springs and use larger diameter pins to accommodate higher starting torques.

2. Improve the machining accuracy of sealing parts

(1) The hole surface of the static ring at the bottom of the gland must ensure high straightness, because under high pressure, any raised point on the surface will pass to the static ring and cause leakage;

(2) Improve the processing accuracy of the inner and outer diameters and width of the sealing surface, because at high pressure, the accuracy of the inner and outer diameters and width of the seal has a significant impact on the change of the specific pressure. The roughness of the sealing end face after grinding and polishing is Ra0.05~0.025 (▽12~▽13), and the flatness is limited within 1 light band. In addition, the verticality of the friction end face and the accuracy of the shaft should be improved accordingly.
