With continuous technological progress and development, mechanical seals have been widely used in various fluid machinery and equipment. According to the survey, more than 90% of the pumps in the refinery and chemical plants use mechanical seals. According to Japan's statistics on disaster accidents in petrochemical complexes, of the 786 accidents that occurred in chemical plants, about 332 were caused by leaks. The leakage of potassium isocyanate gas from the pesticide plant of Union Carbide Corporation in Bhopal, India, caused catastrophic results. In addition, the leakage of fluid media can also cause environmental pollution, including pollution to the atmosphere, water and workshop environment.

(2) Extend the operating cycle of production equipment and improve the efficiency of the machine. The mechanical seal has excellent performance, which can realize zero leakage of the liquid phase or zero escape of the gas (vapor) phase of the process medium (collectively no leakage), ensure the normal operation of the equipment, and effectively improve the operation rate of the production equipment and the single The operating cycle is extended. As a result, the maintenance interval of the equipment has been extended, and the efficiency of the machine has also been improved.

(3) Reduce energy consumption, save resources, and achieve energy saving and emission reduction. The mechanical seal has excellent working performance, which can reduce the loss of water, electricity, oil, gas and materials; process fluid recovery, reduce or eliminate the loss of power steam and process fluid, reduce the loss of sealing oil, and so on.
