The inclination angle of the spiral groove refers to the angle between the tangent of the spiral line from any point on the groove line and the vertical direction of the polar diameter of that point. As the liquid enters the upstream pumping spiral groove, the pressure is continuously boosted along the tip line and pumped to the high-pressure side. As a result, the inclination angle of the groove line will affect the pressure increase effect of the spiral groove and the pressure distribution between the end faces of the mechanical seal.
