After the above two tests were completed in 1983, an international cooperative research-“production test” was started in 1985. It passed the performance test of more than 20 types of gaskets, in order to formulate new specifications for gasket parameters and ASTM gasket tests. Standard methods provide the basis. Since the above tests are all carried out at room temperature, and the performance of gaskets at high temperatures has more practical and universal significance, the Bolting Subcommittee and the Shaowen Design Subcommittee jointly formed the 'Flange Connection High Temperature Performance' research group.
