In these three models, the normal pressure at the center and edge of the cylinder and cone model is uncertain, so it cannot be used to describe the elastic deformation of the contact area. Rough surfaces are generally unlikely to have pointed asperities. The more realistic one should be the ellipsoid model, which is the surface of the machined part.
