Sufficient strength and rigidity: no damage under working conditions (such as pressure, temperature and sliding speed, etc.), deformation should be as small as possible, and sealing can still be maintained when working conditions fluctuate. In particular, the sealing end face must have sufficient strength and certain corrosion resistance to ensure a satisfactory service life of the product. Good thermal shock resistance: For this reason, the material is required to have a high thermal conductivity and a small coefficient of linear expansion, so that it will not crack when subjected to thermal shock. Smaller friction coefficient of mechanical seal: The matching of the seal ring should have a smaller friction coefficient. Good self-lubrication: if dry friction occurs for a short time during work, the sealing end face will not be damaged. Therefore, the mechanical seal ring should have good self-lubrication, and the material of the seal ring should have good wettability with the sealing fluid. Simple structure: The structure of the sealing ring should be simple and symmetrical, and the overall structure should be given priority, or a combined (such as insert type) sealing ring can be used, and the spraying structure of the sealing end face should be avoided as much as possible.
