Mechanical Seal Flush Solutions

The flushing of the mechanical seal is an effective measure to control the temperature of the mechanical seal and prolong the life of the mechanical seal. The purpose of flushing is to remove heat, maintain and improve lubrication, prevent liquid film vaporization, prevent accumulation of impurities, and prevent the formation of air pockets.

According to the form of flushing, it can be divided into internal flushing and external flushing, in which the internal flushing is flushed with the conveying medium, while the external flushing is flushed by introducing foreign substances. 

Internal flushing, positive flushing 

Working principle: The sealed medium is led into the sealing cavity by the outlet end of the pump through the pipeline.        

Practical range: used for cleaning media, p1 is slightly larger than p-in, if the medium temperature is high or there are impurities, it is necessary to set up coolers, filters and other equipment on the pipeline to process the medium.  

Backwash 

Working principle: Using the sealed medium of the working host, it is introduced into the sealing cavity from the outlet end of the pump, and then flows back to the pump inlet through the pipeline after flushing.
