Introduction to Cartridge Mechanical Seal (1):

Cartridge mechanical seal is a sealing structure with novel structure, reliable performance and convenient installation and maintenance. The seal combines the main parts such as the moving ring, the static ring, the elastic element, the auxiliary sealing ring, the shaft sleeve, the gland, the static sealing gasket, etc., so it is named the cartridge seal, sometimes also called the cassette seal.

Cartridge mechanical seals generally adopt a balanced seal structure. The one shown in Figure 1-1 in the first chapter is a universal cartridge mechanical seal. In addition to combining the main parts, there are also channels for flushing and quenching on the gland. Because the seal has been assembled into an assembly, it is more convenient, faster and more reliable to install on the machine body. It is welcomed by users at home and abroad. It is the development direction of domestic mechanical seal in the future.

Figure 2-1 shows a single-end multi-spring rotating cartridge mechanical seal. Its structural feature is that all parts are combined into one body, and the spring is in contact with the material. It is a balanced, internal flow-type rotating structure, positioning The block can adjust the amount of spring compression. Considering that it can be more easily compensated when the moving and static rings are worn out, a moving ring sealing ring is designed.
