Introduction of split mechanical seal:

This type of seal is to ensure that the sealing end faces are parallel during disassembly and maintenance, and the sealing parts are made into blocks. The seal can be made into a circumferential split or a multi-valve ring with a surrounding spring.

Figure 2-6 shows a split mechanical seal. It can be seen from the figure that the gland, the moving ring, the moving ring seat, the static ring and the auxiliary sealing ring are all designed to be split with seams.
