Under the action of the concentration difference, the material transfer produced by the sealed medium through the sealing gap or the capillary of the sealing material is called diffusion. Since the concentration difference is usually two-way, the diffusion process is two-way, but the leakage of the diffusion medium is much smaller than the other two types of leakage.

The diffusion and leakage of the medium through the partition can be divided into three stages:

①The seal absorbs liquid (gas) body-adsorption (adsorption coefficient);

②The diffusion of the medium through the partition (diffusion coefficient);
