In some cases, the gas treatment system or gas recovery system cannot be used. At this time, a double-end gas film sealing arrangement is required for dangerous and toxic gases, as shown in Figure 4-7. The blocking gas injected between the two seals is usually nitrogen from the factory. Nitrogen will leak into the process gas and ambient atmosphere through the inner and outer mechanical seals.
