Air supply system with air film mechanical seal for fan:

The gas film mechanical seal air supply system is responsible for the control of the system, providing blocking gas (or buffer gas) to the mechanical seal and monitoring the operation of the gas film seal. It is mainly composed of a filter unit and a buffer system unit, two of which include all the components required for seal monitoring and control, mainly filters, shut-off valves, monitors, flow meters, orifices, etc. In order to show possible failures, according to safety requirements, the sealing system should be equipped with alarm devices and shutdown relays. If quantitative monitoring is required, the control panel should have a display function. The main functions of the air film mechanical seal air supply system are:

①Provide clean, dry and stable air source (including front seal gas, main seal gas, intermediate buffer gas and bearing oil isolation gas; 171 mechanical seal

②Monitor the working conditions and operating conditions of the seal (including the measurement, alarm and interlocking of parameters such as pressure, differential pressure and flow);

③Monitor the emission of leaking gas (including setting off a torch and venting of outdoor high points).

According to the air film seal structure of the compressor, the reference design of the air supply system is shown in Table 4-1.
