● Reduced energy consumption: Because dry gas seals don't require pumps and systems to circulate oil, they only require approximately 5 kilowatts of electricity per hour, about 5-10% of the electricity required by wet seal systems.

● Reliability: When using wet seals, the majority of compressor downtime is due to problems with the sealing system. Dry gas seals have fewer parts to support, making them more reliable and less likely to cause compressor downtime.

● Durability: When properly installed and maintained, dry gas seals can have a service life more than twice that of wet gas seals.

Eliminating seal oil leakage: Wet seals can leak oil into natural gas pipelines, degrading pipeline performance; dry gas seals prevent this contamination.
● Gas Leakage Rate: While wet seals have similar leakage rates at the sealing face as dry gas seals, due to the additional gas released into the atmosphere, wet seals leak more methane over time, making dry gas seals more environmentally friendly.

● Less Maintenance: Dry gas seals require less maintenance than wet gas seals because they have fewer moving parts, such as control valves, pumps, and safety valves.

● Mechanical Simplicity: Dry gas seals do not require complex systems to circulate oil through the components.

● Safety: Dry gas seals are safer because they do not require a high-pressure oil system.
