In the actual application process, the mechanical seal is very prone to wear and tear. What is the reason for this happening? Synthetic gas needs to be washed and cooled to remove dust and impurities and become finished gas before it can be delivered to users. During operation, it bites and scratches the grinding surface of the impeller, the gap becomes larger, the sealing performance deteriorates, the volumetric efficiency of the pump decreases, and the working current increases. The mouth ring installed on the bottom side of the mechanical seal chamber has a great influence on the performance and life of the mechanical seal.

The bottom ring of the seal chamber must work normally in order to keep the pressure of the mechanical seal chamber near the design value. However, as the gap at the bottom of the cavity becomes larger due to wear and tear, the pressure and temperature of the sealing cavity rise, and the working condition of the mechanical seal deteriorates. In extreme cases such as mouth ring collapse, the mechanical seal is burned, resulting in accidental parking. The decrease of the sealing performance of the inlet ring or the cavity bottom ring will eventually be reflected on the pump and mechanical seals, which will increase the wear of the mechanical seals, increase the power consumption, shorten the maintenance cycle, and increase the operating cost. For this reason, the mouth ring of our gas washing pump has undergone technological innovation, and a metal conical mouth ring has been used to obtain good results.
