What are the common leak locations of mechanical seals for kettles?

The mechanical seal ring is a sealing machine and equipment composed of two pieces of sealing components (static ring and moving ring) that bisect the axis vertically, bright and vertical surfaces meet each other, and do a good job of relative inversion. It relies on the working pressure of the sealing medium to generate an appropriate clamping force on the contact surface (inner hole) of the rotating dynamic ring and the static ring, so that the two inner holes are closely connected, and the inner holes are held by a mechanical seal. A very thin liquid film is used to achieve the purpose of sealing. This layer of liquid film mechanical seal has liquid dynamic working pressure and static working pressure, which plays a practical presentation of smooth and balanced sense.

When the mechanical seal ring is working, the axial force caused by the working pressure of the sealing liquid and the elasticity of the elastic element makes the moving ring garage ring fit with each other to make the relative speed. The junction (sealing page) in the middle of the sealed inner hole produces a fine gap. When the pressurized medium follows this gap, an ultra-thin liquid film is generated, causing frictional resistance and preventing the leakage of the medium. In addition, the liquid film promotes the inner hole to be lubricated. , to obtain a long-term seal practical presentation.

What are the common mechanical seal leak locations?

1. Static seal leakage: leakage between sealing pairs, such as leakage of fusion surfaces such as flanges and roll mouths;  

2. Dynamic seal leakage: leakage between seal pairs, such as leakage of dynamic seals between shaft seats, between packing materials, between moving rings and static rings;

3. Switch off leakage: a leakage between the switch (gate valve, valve, plunger pump, etc.) and the switch seat;

4. Self leakage: a kind of leakage caused by raw materials such as casing, wall thickness, oil circuit board, ship hull, dam body, etc.;

Preparations for quick-loading mechanical seals before starting:

1. Check whether the mechanical seal, its ancillary equipment and pipeline installation are complete and meet the technical standards in all aspects.

2. Before starting the mechanical seal, carry out a static pressure test to check whether the mechanical seal is leaking. If there is a lot of leakage, you should find out the reason and try to clean it up. If it still fails, it should be disassembled, inspected and reinstalled. Generally, the working pressure of static pressure test is 2~3 kg/cm3.

3. Open the gate according to the rotation direction of the pump to check whether it is happy and symmetrical. If it is difficult to open the gate or does not move, it should be checked whether the installation specifications are incorrect and whether the installation is effective.
