In the process flow of slurry, the medium conveyed by the pump of some stations contains particles, and some conveying medium is relatively clean, so there is a difference in the selection of sealing. For those with particles, the pump is generally required to be equipped with double-end face, back-to-back sealing form, which can effectively prevent particles from entering the sealing end face and ensure the service life of the seal. If you want the mechanical seal for slurry pump to reduce the number of failures in use, you must first select the correct type, and then master the essentials of installation and use. In order to adapt to different slurry characteristics, different types of centrifugal slurry pumps will be designed. For light abrasive slurry, a light abrasive slurry pump should be used to reduce costs and prolong the service life of the pump; for heavy abrasive slurry, a heavy abrasive slurry pump should be used. The slurry flow rate inside is too high, reducing the service life of the pump. Slurry pump mechanical seal installation and use tips: 1. During installation, a layer of clean lubricant should be applied to the surface in contact with the seal to facilitate smooth assembly. Recommended lubricants: soapy water, silicone grease, ethylene glycol or glycerin, etc. 2. The sealing cavity of the equipment should be kept clean during installation, and the sealing parts should be cleaned to keep the sealing end face intact to prevent impurities and dust from being brought into the sealing part; 4. For easy-to-crystallize and granular media, corresponding flushing, filtering and cooling measures should be taken when the temperature of the medium is greater than 80°C. Installation When the static ring gland is used, the tightening screws must be evenly stressed to ensure that the end face of the static ring is perpendicular to the shaft; 6. After installation, push the moving ring by hand, so that the moving ring can move flexibly on the shaft and has a certain elasticity; 7. Installation After turning the rotating shaft by hand, the rotating shaft should have no light or heavy feeling; 8. The equipment must be filled with medium before running to prevent the seal from being ineffective due to dry friction.
