The use environment of mechanical seal

The mechanical seal is a mechanical seal used on the reactor, which is a very important part of the reactor, and it directly affects the service life and stability of the reactor. Therefore, to improve the service life and reliability of the mechanical seal for the kettle, it is necessary to research and produce mechanical seals with higher parameters, thereby improving the performance and service life of the reactor.

We all know that the working conditions or the use environment of mechanical seals in the reaction kettle are harsh. It is mainly manifested in the following aspects.

1. Stirring shaft side entry reaction kettle: From the perspective of lubrication, the mechanical seal used in this type of reaction kettle generally does not have poor lubrication problems, but the page of the medium in the kettle must maintain a certain height.

2. Bottom-inserted reactor with stirring shaft: The polymerization reactor has gradually developed towards a large volume, and its stirring shaft has also changed from the top-insertion type to the bottom-insertion type. The characteristics of the bottom insertion type are that the stirring shaft is short and the bending stress on the shaft is small, so the calculated shaft diameter is small, which saves labor and material. The short axis has better rigidity and less deformation than the long axis.

3. Top-inserted reaction kettle with stirring shaft: The top-inserted stirring shaft reaction kettle is widely used, and the problems encountered in its sealing are different from those mentioned above. Because the seal is placed on the upper part of the kettle, it is in the gas phase space (the liquid phase is only when the material is full of the kettle), in order to avoid the dry friction of the seal, a certain lubrication and cooling method needs to be adopted. The vertical installation of the stirring shaft is inserted at the top, the aspect ratio is large, and the machining and installation accuracy may be low, so a large warp will inevitably occur.
