Reason 1: The installation is too tight. Observe the plane of the dynamic and static ring of the machine seal. If there is serious scorching, the plane is blackened and there are deep marks, the sealing rubber becomes hard and loses elasticity. This phenomenon is caused by the installation being too tight.
Solution: Adjust the installation height. After the impeller is installed, use a screwdriver to pull out the spring. The spring has a strong tension. It will reset after loosening, and the moving distance is 24MM.
Reason 2: The installation is too loose. Observe the plane of the moving and static rings of the machine. There is a thin layer of scale on the surface, which can be wiped off, and the surface is basically free of wear. This is caused by the loss of elasticity of the spring and poor assembly, or the axial movement of the motor.
The third reason is that the water quality is poor and contains particles. Due to poor water quality, small particles and high hydrochloride content in the medium, it will form grooves and ring grooves on the plane of the abrasive wear machine seal or the surface of the strained surface.
Solution: Improve the water pressure or medium, and replace the mechanical seal.
Reason 4: Running without water causes dry grinding damage. This phenomenon is mostly seen in the negative pressure at the inlet [ ] of the bottom valve installation form, there is air in the water inlet pipe, and there is air in the pump cavity. After the pump is turned on, the friction of the mechanical seal will generate high temperature when it runs at high speed, and it cannot be cooled. Check the mechanical seal and spring. The tension is normal, the friction surface is scorched and blackened, and the rubber becomes hard and cracks.
Solution: Exhaust the air in the duct and pump cavity, and replace the mechanical seal.
Reason Five: Cavitation. Cavitation mainly occurs in hot water pumps. Since the medium is hot water, the water temperature is too high to generate steam, and the gas in the pipeline enters the high part of the pump cavity, and this part of the gas cannot be removed, resulting in water shortage operation, mechanical seal dry grinding failure, and automatic discharge of the cavitation device. Air valve, replace the mechanical seal.
Reason 6: Assembly problem. When installing the pump cover, it may not be installed flat, causing the shaft and the pump cover to be non-perpendicular, resulting in a mismatch between the dynamic and static planes, and the short start-up time, resulting in unilateral wear and water seepage. It is also possible to damage the rubber parts or bruise the surface of the dynamic and static rings when installing the dynamic and static rings.
Solution: Remove and reinstall, and check whether the pump cover is installed flat.
