1. Improper assembly of mechanical seal

   When replacing the non-power end mechanical seal, the sealing O-ring on the moving ring was not assembled properly during the assembly process. The O-ring should be installed on the surface of the sealing groove on the moving ring seat, but the assembly inspection created that the O-ring was not assembled in this way, but was installed on the surface of the spring positioning plate by mistake, and even the spring was deformed, and the complete axial static seal could not be achieved. The contamination, and even leakage.

2. The pressure of the mechanical seal cooling water is too high

  The adhesion force of the sealing surface of the static ring of the mechanical seal is exerted by the spring on the moving ring. When the cooling water pressure is too high, the water pressure will be impregnated on the static ring, because the static ring is firm and immobile, so the water pressure will push the moving ring and compress the spring in the same direction as the static ring, thereby weakening or offsetting the static ring The adhesion of the surface causes the sealing surface to leak. After the inspection is completed, the machine seal of the power end is fed with cooling water to test for leakage. The inlet valve is opened less than 2/3, and the machine seal is intact and leak-free. When the water valve is opened more than 2/3, the machine seal leaks. The initial judgment is due to the cause of excessive water pressure. It is recommended that the motor is turned on and used after the repair is completed, and the real cause of the leakage can be further tracked.

3, static ring sealing surface split

   This is an important cause of the leakage of the pump's mechanical seal during the previous few replacements. The mechanical seal of the power end and the non-power end are assembled on the same shaft, the impeller is assembled in the middle of the shaft, and the two ends of the shaft are equipped with bearings for firm support. When the power end or the non-power end mechanical seal is replaced separately, the bearing (bearing seat) of the corresponding end must be assembled first before the old mechanical seal can be removed and the new one can be installed. At this time, the bearing support at one end is lost due to the gravity of the shaft and the impeller. The impeller and shaft must be slumped down, and the shaft is tilted toward the bearingless end. Because the static ring at the unremoved end is fixed on the end cover of the pump with bolts, while the moving ring is fixed on the shaft and rotates together with the shaft, the rest is because the inner ring of the static ring and the shaft have a small fit gap, when the shaft collapses When tilted, it will constitute:

  a. The relative displacement of the static ring at the undismantled end causes the sealing surfaces of the static ring to squeeze each other and cause splitting;

  b. The shaft is directly pressed on the inner ring of the static ring at the undisassembled end, and the sealing surface of the static ring is broken or split.  1.html,
