In the above two situations, the mechanical seal of the scar can be re-circulated on the lathe according to the regular journal size after surfacing welding on the scarred part, or replaced with a new shaft. If the journal only needs metal burrs or flashing on the shaft head, it can be flattened with a file to prevent the oil seal lip from being damaged when the oil seal is installed. (2) Check whether the lip of the oil seal is broken, cracked or oily corrosion. If there are any such unfavorable phenomena, the oil seal should be replaced with a new one. If there is no such thing, the following method can be used to install: first roll a layer of transparent hard plastic film (commonly known as cellophane) on the journal and even the shaft head, apply a small amount of engine oil on the surface, and cover the oil seal in the plastic. The shaft head of the film gradually pushes the oil seal to the shaft journal with even force, and then pulls out the plastic film. Note: Do not install the lip in the wrong direction. It should face the inner side where the oil is stored, and the side with the trademark and standard faces the outer side. Since the lip 1:3 can only be sealed in one direction, if the oil is encapsulated in reverse, it will inevitably cause oil leakage, and the sealing effect will be weakened or invalid. It is necessary to prevent the oil seal from being crooked or beating on the surface of the oil seal with a hammer or rod, otherwise the oil seal will be damaged.
