Many reactors are operated under vacuum, which can cause the blocking fluid in the gap between the seal end faces to evaporate, so that the mechanical seal of the autoclave is in a dangerous condition of dry friction. When wet-running mechanical seals operate at low speeds, mixed friction may occur on the end faces of the seals. Due to the low sliding speed, the influence of hydrodynamic effects is very small. Therefore, part of the wear between the seal end faces is due to the fluid, and the other part is due to the mechanical wear generated when the seal end faces are in contact. This means that the material of the sealing end face needs to meet higher requirements and be able to adapt to a higher wear rate.

In the case of low-speed rotation, the wear rate between the sealing end faces is very small. When calculating the abrasion rate of the reaction kettle, the abrasion rate caused by low-speed rotation can be ignored.　　980.html,
