Most of the oil seal leakage is caused by the damage of the oil film of the main lip, and a small part is caused by the fit between the outer ring and the housing. Matters needing attention in oil seal assembly and assembly:

1. Check whether there is any burr on the tire where the oil seal is installed. When installing the oil seal on the pressure head, the burr will scratch the main lip of the oil seal, resulting in oil leakage in the initial operation of the transmission, and the tooling must be maintained regularly;

2. When pressing the oil seal, whether the center of the pressure head and the center of the bearing hole of the housing are vertically pressed to prevent the rubber of the outer ring of the oil seal from being damaged by the edge of the oil seal hole of the housing;

3. The oil seal should be pressed below the plane around the oil seal hole of the housing, preferably a little lower than the chamfer of the oil seal hole of the housing, and keep the pressure for 2-5s to avoid the rebound of the oil seal and increase the risk of leakage;

4. When installing the oil seal, be sure to wear clean gloves. There should be no sharp foreign matter such as aluminum chips on the gloves. The workbench where the oil seal is placed should also be cleaned, otherwise if the sharp foreign matter sticks to the oil seal, it will scratch the main lip or outer surface of the oil seal. lock up;

5. Oil seal lubricating grease should be applied in a standardized manner. Excessive application of lubricating grease will cause the lubricating grease to melt and flow out of the transmission, causing misjudgment by customers or staff, which is often referred to as 'false oil leakage'.
