The static ring of the seal should not be too tight. Although it is in a static state, too tight will cause excessive deformation and poor sealing effect. Some static rings are made of graphite, which is relatively Brittle and excessively tightened, it is easy to break, and it is also easy to be damaged during the installation and disassembly process. It is recommended to use some imported seals to have a longer service life.
The dynamic ring sealing ring in the seal should be moderately tight. If the dynamic ring sealing ring is too tight, the friction will increase, and the wear between the dynamic ring sealing ring and the shaft sleeve will be accelerated, resulting in premature leakage. Increase the axial adjustment of the moving ring and the resistance when moving. In the case of constantly changing operating conditions, there is no way to make proper adjustments. The spring will also be too tight to cause serious fatigue failure or even damage, and it is easy to cause serious deformation of the moving ring seal ring, and the sealing effect is not good.
When the spring in the seal is compressed, the amplitude should be moderate. It must not be thought that the greater the compression of the spring, the better the sealing effect. In fact, this is not the case. If the spring is compressed too much, the friction will increase greatly. It will also intensify the wear and tear and even burn out. Excessively compressing the spring will easily lose the adjustment ability of the end face of the moving ring, which will directly cause the seal to fail.
The impeller lock nut in the mechanical seal should not be too tight. In common leakage, there will be more leakage between the shaft and the shaft sleeve. This is not only the reason why the impeller lock nut is not locked, but also many other factors. It will cause leakage, the gasket between the shafts is deformed, shifted, and fails, the end face between the shafts is mixed with impurities, there is a relatively large shape and position error between the shaft sleeve and the shaft, the contact surface is damaged, and the various components on the shaft are different from each other. The gap, the thread of the shaft head is too long, etc., will cause the leakage between the shafts, and many cases are similar to the leakage of hydraulic seals.
