Installation instructions for mechanical seals for kettles

The installation of the mechanical seal for the kettle is very important for the user, because if the seal is not installed properly, it is easy to enter some dust, and the accumulation of dust for a long time can easily cause the equipment to fail. Therefore, before installation, there are some precautions that not only need to be paid attention to, but in actual operation, these installation precautions should be used as standard constraints.

1. In order to facilitate the disassembly and assembly of the seal, a short-joint coupling is generally installed between the mixing shaft and the transmission shaft.

2. The mechanical seal for the kettle can be installed in advance in the seal manufacturer or maintenance workshop, and can be installed on site. The installation of the product needs to be installed according to the instructions.

3. The mixing kettle is rarely fully operated, so the sealing medium of the mechanical seal of the kettle is gas, which is usually in a dry conflict state, and the end face wears a lot. Because of the strong gas permeability, the requirements for sealing materials are high. In order to lubricate and cool the sealing end face, the fluid dynamic pressure double end face seal is usually selected as the seal for the kettle, and lubricating oil or lubricating liquid is passed between the two sealing end faces for lubricating and cooling. Single face seals are only used where pressure contrast is low or not critical.

4. The mixing shaft is relatively long and there is a mixing paddle at the lower end, so the mechanical seal of the kettle has a relatively large swing and oscillation, so that the moving ring and the static ring cannot have a good fit. Usually, the mixing shaft needs to be equipped with a bottom bearing or a central bearing. In order to reduce the influence of the swing and vibration of the shaft on the seal, if the bearing is added near the seal, it should be considered that the moving ring and the static ring have better floating properties.
