(1) Carry out thorough investigation and research to obtain specific design conditions. The specific content includes: the type of the working host and the part that needs to be sealed, the operating conditions, etc., that is, the medium pressure, the medium temperature, and the shaft speed and rotation; the name, composition and properties of the sealed medium, including density, viscosity, concentration, Saturated vapor pressure, PH value, whether it is corrosive, whether it contains suspended particles, etc., whether it is easy to crystallize or polymerize; the operating status of the working host, whether it is continuous or intermittent operation, and the maintenance period; shaft vibration and deflection; leakage The allowable limit value of the quantity; the structure of the sealing part, including the outer diameter of the shaft (or sleeve), the structure of the sealing cavity, the inner diameter and depth of the sealing cavity, the assembly size of the sealing end surface and the roughness of each surface; the sealing auxiliary system, Including whether there is a cooling water jacket in the sealed cavity, the temperature of the cooling water, whether it has the conditions to take washing and cooling measures, whether there is a filter device, and so on.

(2) Determine the basic structure of the seal. Mainly determine whether the seal adopts single end face or double end face (multiple end face), balanced or unbalanced, internal (built-in) or external (external) rotary or static, single spring or multiple springs, etc.

(3) Determine the material. Determine the materials of the seal end face friction pair, auxiliary seal ring, elastic element and other parts.

(4) Sealing end face design. Mainly determine the width and height of the seal end face, and calculate the load factor.

(5) Compensation ring and non-compensation ring design. Including shape, size, support method, transmission and anti-rotation mechanism, strength design, rigidity design, etc.

(6) Auxiliary seal design. Design the shape, size, compression, airtightness, floatability, etc.

(7) Design of elastic elements. Determine the size of the elastic force, the number of elastic elements, the way the elastic force is applied, etc.

(8) The design of the sealing auxiliary system. Determine the process, components and operating conditions of the sealing auxiliary system.

(9) Calculation of main working parameters. Mainly calculate spring specific pressure, load coefficient, end-face specific pressure, performance parameters, etc.

(10) Standardization and process review. Carry out standardized review of parts, structures, materials, tests, etc.; review the processing technology of parts.

(11) Carry out type test. Draw up a specific test plan, conduct a test, and conduct an assessment in accordance with the test specifications.

(12) Compile parts list. Instruction manual, perfect design technical conditions, after successful product type test and finalization, compile parts list and instruction manual, and complete and archive design technical documents.
