Assembly method of cartridge seal:

(1) Assembly of gland and bellows

The gland and bellows are connected by 6--12 bolts, and there is a gasket between them to prevent medium leakage.

(2) Hard ring positioning

First, fix the fixed ring on the positioning counterbore of the shaft sleeve, then put the gland and bellows assembly so that it is close to the fixed ring, put the hard ring, wedge ring and rotating seat ring, and determine the position of the rotating seat ring Finally, slightly tighten the ring set screw,

The rotary ring and the hard ring are connected with screws, and the fixed ring, gland and bellows assembly are taken out.

(3) End face alignment

When the rotating seat ring and the hard ring are connected to the shaft sleeve, the verticality of the end face must be maintained. Generally, the runout of the end face is guaranteed to be less than 0.05mm. After tightening the set screws on the rotating seat ring on the assembly platform,

While aligning with a dial indicator, tighten the screws connecting the rotating seat ring and the hard ring to ensure the verticality of the end face.

(4) Adjustment of the amount of compression

The compression amount of the cartridge bellows mechanical seal is reflected in the thickness of the positioning block. However, some special users want different compression amounts, which can be adjusted in the following ways:

For 45 and 55 series seals, when determining the position of the hard ring, place the water retaining aluminum plate on the gland on the outer edge of the groove of the shaft sleeve matched with the positioning block (positioning fork), and stick the rotating seat ring and the hard ring on the graphite ring, fixed on the shaft sleeve.

After putting into the positioning plate, the compression amount is the designed compression amount, which is the thickness of the fork plate. Changing the amount of compression can move the hard ring back and forth on the sleeve by the amount of changing compression.

For 60, 70, 85, 90, 120 series seals, the position of the hard ring is the position when the gland water retaining aluminum plate is pasted on the fixed ring, and the compression amount is the thickness of the positioning block. If the amount of compression is changed, the hard ring can be moved back and forth on the sleeve,

The amount of movement is the amount of change in the amount of compression, the amount of compression increases when moving forward, and decreases when moving backward.
