1. Maintenance method
1. The leakage caused by the deformation of the contact surface of the dynamic and static rings. When the specific pressure of the end face is too large, the frictional heat will easily cause thermal deformation of the dynamic and static rings; of course, if there is uneven force in the process of installing spare parts, it will also cause the end face to deform. Solution: Disassemble the mechanical seal to check whether the end face of the dynamic and static rings is overheated and deformed. If it is, it needs to be replaced. If it is caused by assembly, it can be reassembled according to the specifications.
2. Impurities such as crystal particles are sandwiched in the friction pair. Treatment method: clean after disassembly, check the wear of the end face with the mechanical seal of the pump, and repair it according to the specific situation.
3. Due to improper material selection of auxiliary seals, the working medium swells and loses elasticity. Solution: replace the new seal and choose the matching mechanical seal.
4. The non-perpendicularity error of the dynamic and static ring seal facing the axis is too large. Solution: Check the winding of the pump shaft, and repair or replace it if it exceeds the standard.
5. The scale formed by the dynamic and static rings and the circular sleeve cannot compensate for the wear displacement in time. Treatment method: cleaning.
6. Long-term operation leads to serious wear on the end faces of the dynamic and static rings.
2. Cleaning method
1. Generally, mechanical seals are suitable for clean media without suspended particles. Therefore, the newly installed pipeline system and liquid storage tank should be washed carefully to prevent solid impurities from entering the mechanical sealing surface and the use of sealing failure.
2. When using a mechanical seal in a medium that is easy to crystallize, pay attention to frequent flushing, and clean the crystals on the mechanical seal before restarting after stopping.
3. The mechanical seal should be disassembled carefully, and it is not allowed to hit with a hammer or iron, so as not to damage the sealing surface of the static ring.
4. If there is dirt that cannot be removed, do not force it to remove it, but try to remove the dirt, rinse it thoroughly, and then remove it to avoid damaging the sealing element.
5. Before installing the mechanical seal, check whether all the sealing elements are invalid and damaged, and if so, they should be repaired or replaced with new elements.
6. Strictly check the end faces of the friction seal between the moving ring and the static ring.
7. Pay attention to eliminating deviation during assembly. When tightening screws, tighten them evenly to avoid deflection and seal failure.
8. Correctly adjust the compression of the spring so that it is not too tight or too loose. If it is too tight, the end face of the seal will wear out quickly and fail, and the consumption or rate will be large; if it is too loose, the seal will not work and the leakage will be too large. big. Therefore, after the pump is installed, when you turn the rotor with your hand, you should feel that the sealing spring has a certain amount of compression, and it can rotate briskly and flexibly and feel tight. If it feels too tight or the plate does not move, it should be loosened appropriately.
9. For mechanical seals with external flushing, the flushing fluid should be turned on before starting to fill the sealing chamber with sealing fluid. When stopping, the pump should be stopped first, and then the sealing flushing fluid should be turned off.
