Compared with other mechanical seals, the sealing principle of the end face seal is relatively simple. With the cooperation of the static ring and the dynamic ring, a pair of friction pairs are formed to prevent the leakage of the working medium. Mechanical Seal Advantages


1. In the long-term operation, the sealing structure is reliable, the sealing state is very stable, and the leakage is very small when the surface roughness and flatness of the sealing surface meet the requirements.

2. Its service life is long, which can reach 1-2 years or even longer in oil and water medium, and can reach more than half a year in chemical medium.

3. After the initial assembly, there is no need for artificial post-adjustment and compression, and the sealing pair can automatically maintain contact during operation.

4. The scope of application of the mechanical seal is relatively wide, and it can be used in high temperature, low temperature, high pressure and other occasions, and is not sensitive to the working medium.



Mechanical Seal Disadvantages


The disadvantages of mechanical seals are mainly reflected in the structure. Its structure is more complex and requires high manufacturing and processing.

Disassembly and assembly are more troublesome, requiring a certain level of installation technology.
