Performance parameters of mechanical seals:
The performance parameters of mechanical seals mainly include value, friction coefficient, wear volume, leakage volume, power consumption (friction power consumption) and cooling flushing volume.
PV value-The seal pair of mechanical seal is similar to the friction pair of bearing, and the value is used as an important parameter for selecting, using, testing and designing mechanical seal. The frictional power consumption, wear, temperature rise and working conditions of mechanical seals are all related to it.
Use PsV value Use PsV value
Use PsV value: Use PsV value is the product of the sealing medium (or system) pressure Ps and the average peripheral speed V of the sealing end surface, indicating the use conditions, working conditions and working difficulty of the mechanical seal. It is sometimes used to illustrate the development level of sealing technology, for example, the highest technical level of mechanical seals has reached PsVu003d1000MPa·m/s. It can also be used for selection and material matching.
Working PgV and PeV
The working PgV value and PeV value are the product of the specific load of the seal end face and the contact specific pressure and the average peripheral velocity v of the seal end face, indicating the total load per unit area of u200bu200bthe seal pair and the carrying capacity of the asperity when the mechanical seal works.
Allowed [PsV], [PeV] and [PgV] values u200bu200bin design
According to a certain friction pair material pairing, [PsV], [PeV] and [PgV] are determined under the specified service life and allowable wear speed. Due to the different sealing media, working conditions and material matching, the design allowances [PsV], [PeV] and [PgV] can only be determined based on test results and use experience.
